Here’s a picture of the cutest, sweetest and furriest kitty in Seoul, Korea. Please give a cheer for Misty!
Lenore posted pictures of her adorable cat and encouraged me to do the same.
When my husband and I first moved overseas to Indonesia, we brought with us our short haired Persian, Yoda (not so furry, but cute). He traveled with us to Singapore and eventually onto Korea. So he’s been around. But one night, he slipped out of our apartment, never to be seen again.
I was pregnant with Caleb at that time so I cried and cried and cried all those hormonal tears. Poor Doug went out searching in the freezing cold, night after night .
When we couldn’t find Yoda, Doug and I headed to the pet street at Dongdaemun Market here in Seoul. We came home that night with a little Persian kitty.
We named her Misty. She’s been sleeping by my side ever since.
Her nickname is Fur because, well, she’s furry!
Such a nice note to receive from you today; thank you. I’ve been looking at your blog and thinking of how rich a tapestry your life must be. I would have been terrified, like you, at the loss of a cat. I’m so glad that you’ve brought Misty home and glad that you are living such a full, dimensional, inspired life.
Cute. Very soft, I’m sure.
Hey, if you know anything about registering a domain name or setting up a website, pop over to my blog and fill us in. Thanks.
OMG! So cute! And I don’t know what I would do if Emmy slipped out, never to be seen again. How tragic.
Thanks for posting!
Oh, losing Yoda (love the name) must have been devestating!
Misty is beautiful! She looks sooooooo soft!
She’s darling! And poor little Yoda. I’m glad you have Misty to give a home to!
Yoda’s a great name for a cat! This one’s pretty fine too–look at those eyes. They say, “I own you…you know that, right?”
Thank you Beth for your kind words!
Angela- Oh you are so right!
poor yoda. what a great hubby.
So very sweet 🙂 Our dog has taken a few run away adventures too. She got stuck in someone’s pool once and only survived because the person’s son came home, saw her doggy paddling, and rescued her. Pets are such a comfort. I’m so glad you guys found another wonderful one.
She’s a beauty!
I love my cats. Buttercup is 10 years old, a beautiful calico, and very, very fat. Angel is a tortious shell calico, she thinks she a dog, and she doesn’t live up to her name.
I forgot to mention that my aunt has a cat named Yoda … and he was a stray. So maybe he made his way to Kansas and lives there happily to this day 🙂
Stacy- You are so right! Misty sits next to me everyday as I write.
Nora- Thank you! She is cute (but then I’m bias)
Lenore- I like your story. I’m going with that one. Yoda lives on!
She’s beautiful! I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Yoda. I can only imagine how upsetting that would be. Misty looks like a great cat — love her fur!
