Do you have an author friend? Or perhaps you are an author and need to give your family a Christmas list.
If so, here are some ideas to take along with you as you head out to the stores this holiday season:
1. Books!
2. Children’s Writer’s and Illustrator’s Market
3. The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Publishing Children’s Books
4. Coffee (for those late nights and early mornings)
5. Chocolate (for inspiration of course)
7. Unusual journals
8. Sketch books (for brainstorming and character sketches)
9. Subscriptions to writing magazines like Children’s Writer, Children’s Book Insider, Writer’s Digest
10. Cash for writing conferences and classes
You stole my list -well, except for cash. With two kids in college – that’s out of the question 🙁
Cute ideas! My best friend is a writer, and I purchased a few writing books for her. Love your other ideas, too!
Don’t forget that T shirt that said, “Careful or you’ll end up in my next novel’ by Cafepress1
Personally I think cash should have been first… ;o)
Great list! I do most of my work on my computer, but one thing I really like are those gel pens.
I love the money for conferences…I have a stocking that says, “No candy, just cash”…I’m always torn between which one I want more…grin…
Great list!

Great list! I want everything on it! It’s books all around on my shopping list!
Oh I’m glad you liked it. I had fun making up the list.
And Angela, I just love that tee! Halarious.
