Over at the OneFour KidLit YouTube channel, we’ve been talking about what inspired us to write our books. I chatted about what inspired me to write GILDED. You can watch it here below:
What inspires you and your writing?
Great video, especially when you sit on the tree. Maybe because of your experience as a teacher, you are a natural on YouTube. Recently there was an article in the New York Times about the first woman South Korean prime minister, being strong. I think that Koreans teens (and adults) will relate to the 16 yrs old strong American Korean heroine with a black belt, in your novel. Best wishes.
Thanks Giora! I hope you are right!
Great vlog! It’s always nice to hear about what inspires somebody to write. I don’t know much about Korean mythology, but that story sounds great (and typically tragic and Asian). Thanks for sharing with us, Christina 🙂
Bonnee- thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was fun remembering how it all started when writing GILDED.
I know zero about Korea or Korean mythology and this year I’ve been learning a lot thanks to you and Ellen Oh.
I can’t wait for Gilded.
I love hearing what inspires other writers. I’m curious about your novel and can’t wait to read it.
